In the early days of WoW there have been very few of them, so getting any was seen as a success. Getting the classiest of them was something only the most hardcore players could do. But then it changed. In the Burning Crusade we got first grindable mounts given as a reputation reward. In WotLK we got even more casual-focused mounts. And all the later expansions brought even more of them. Dragonflight changed things a little by introducing dragon riding and mounts unique to it. But the general principle remained the same: whoever has the rarest and the coolest looks of their ride, is the best. We actually have something similar in the real life with all those Bentleys and Ferraris, don't we? Yeah, and WoW is much like it. Here's a little FAQ for you to get a little more info.

Q: Where do these mounts come from?

A: There are numerous sources. They can be roughly split into two groups: obtainable via world sources and obtainable via the black market. "World sources" include completing various puzzles, running raids and dungeons, unlocking achievements, and so on. They can be both current content-related and legacy content-related – it usually affects the price of the respective boost. But the type of the source is more important in this regard: say, if you want to get a mount that is a quest reward for some puzzle in the current content it's going to be cheaper than a mount from a raid of the previous season – for obvious reasons! 

Black Market is a whole different story. You can find lots of various mounts there most of which are either no longer obtainable through their original source or are just too rare for most people to get them. The BMAH doesn't make it much easier to obtain them but our team knows how to improve your odds in this regard so you can rest assured that we'll get you any black market mount you need!

Q: How do you obtain these mount?

A: It depends on the source. If it's farmable, we farm for as long as it is necessary – until the mount drops. If it's awarded for a glory achievement or anything similar – we just complete the achievement with our team, that's simple. And if the mount is only available as a black market lot, we commence a dedicated operation to get it for you: it involves finding the right realm, getting a suitable character there, supplying it with gold, and so on. That's some spec ops for real and our team is good at it!
