For some reason Bungie decided to make everything related to obtaining Touch of Malice and its catalyst rather annoying and frustrating. Unlike it used to be in the first game, TOM was made to be a plain lucky drop in the remastered version of the King's Fall which astonished many fans. To add insult to injury, the catalyst got locked behind an infuriating puzzle game that not everyone will have enough patience to solve. Let’s take a closer look at what parts of the puzzle there are:

1	Initiation	Before having a fight with the Relic, head to the Court of Oryx and locate a building with several entrances. Inside you'll find a barricade. A Touch of Malice wielder gotta come up to it and stay on the plate with the weapon drawn.
2	Relics collecting	Your team has to collect 4 Relics and bring them to the specified statue within the time limit. If everything's done right, the statue will go ablaze. After that just carry on with the raid the normal way until the part with the maze.
3	The Maze plate	Locate the second secret chest, loot it, and find nearby a plate, similar to that from the first step.
4	Relics collecting, part 2	Collect 4 relics again and carry them towards the exit from the maze.Just near the exit find a hole in the wall down it. There you'll find another statue – that's where you need to turn in your relics. As the statue is activated, proceed to defeat Golgoroth the usual way.
5	The Dick Wall hall	Activate all the platforms there as you usually would and place your Touch of Malice wielder on the last one to activate it.
6	Relics collecting, part 3	You guessed it right. 4 more relics to collect. This time it's really hard as you have to jump on the platforms placed all across the huge hall and bring relics back to the entrance. Near the entrance you'll find a new platform – climb it to get to a secret room with the last statue to turn your relics in to.
7	Basketball court	This is some crazy bonanza going on there. Relics are all over! The secret basketball court room is located right after the previous one with the last statue. You enter it and gotta start tossing all the relics you can find into the basket. As soon as you've thrown in enough of them (there's a dedicated indicator for that), you'll be done with the puzzle. All wielders of the Touch of Malice that don't have a catalyst yet, will get one right away.

Note that you must have a Touch of Malice wielding guardian on your team for it all to work the way it's described above. And that guardian must NOT have the catalyst already unlocked. Those are the rules and they make sense but some people never fail to surprise you.

The puzzle is really weird and difficult. Jumping like a monkey around the room gathering relics is hell of a job, if you ask us. And luckily, our pros are very good at it since they’ve done it several hundred times at least. You can be sure that no one jumps like crazy better than they do!
