The Fastest Cars in Forza Horizon 5: Top 5 Hypercars Ranked

Every racing game has that same debate – and Forza Horizon 5 is no exception. The question "What are the fastest cars in Forza Horizon 5?" has been around since launch... and it's still just as exciting (and controversial) today.  So what are they, those speed-freaks? Are they European or American? Classic makes or modern kingslayers? And are the Swedes really justified in being so smug about their "eggs"? Let's find out right now!

🤔 What makes a car fast in FH5?

So when we're talking about the fastest cars in the game, what exactly do we mean? If I beat my friend in a head-to-head race yesterday in my shiny Mustang, does that mean my car is the fastest in Forza Horizon 5? Probably not...

For this blog post, we're sticking to three main criteria:

  • Speed stat of 10 (or very close to it) – You can't go higher than 10, so if a car has the maxed-out speed stat, it clearly deserves a spot on the list. This stat reflects the vehicle's default top speed in its stock form, which is exactly what we're focusing on here.
  • Frequent appearance in top-speed lists – Every car we picked regularly shows up in both media and community rankings of the fastest cars in FH5.
  • Top speed around 300 MPH – We've reviewed tons of player-submitted builds, tuning videos, and test runs to focus on the most credible reports of these cars hitting or nearing that benchmark.
Now, it's worth noting that different players might have different ideas of what "fastest" means. Maybe you care about acceleration or quarter-mile times. That's fair – but it's not our focus here. We're all about top-end speed.

What we got as a result is a lineup of hypercars that go as fast as rockets, reaching incredible speeds every time you hit the gas. So, now that we've covered the basics, let's go see the rides themselves!

🏁 Top-5 Fastest Cars in Forza Horizon 5

The fastest of the fast. Cream of the crop. Here's our top 5 lineup of cars that have earned their reputation through sheer, blistering speed:

  1. Koenigsegg Jesko
  2. Hennessey Venom F5
  3. Koenigsegg Agera RS
  4. Koenigsegg One: 1
  5. Bugatti Chiron
These marvels of engineering can hit speeds starting at 269 miles per hour – and climb past 300 mph for the best of them. While what they all share is mind-boggling speed records, they differ in what other strengths and weaknesses they have. Let's take a closer look at what each of them is like. We'll go from the fifth-fastest all the way to the reigning Nordic king of Forza Horizon 5. So, the first under the magnifying glass is...

5. Bugatti Chiron 🇫🇷

Top Speed: 269mph / 433 km/h (stock)
Availability: Autoshow (2,400,000 CR)
Fairly priced? 🔴 Overpriced. The Chiron seems to be the least balanced car on this list, yet its price sits somewhere in the middle.

The Chiron needs no introduction. With a perfect Speed stat of 10, it  dominates long straights thanks to its monstrous quad-turbo W16 engine. Its Acceleration and Launch are just as impressive – it hits 60 mph (100 km/h) in around 2.5 seconds. That combination makes it a favorite for drag races and speed zone runs where raw power maters most.

However, it's not all glory. The Chiron's Handling is noticeably weaker than the other cars on this list. Don't expect it to glide through high-speed turns – it can feel heavy and unresponsive. The Braking performance doesn't do it any favors either. Simply put, the straighter the road, the brighter this car shines. Choose the right activities, and it will deliver jaw-dropping results.

4. Koenigsegg One: 1 🇸🇪

Top Speed: 277mph / 446 km/h (stock), 280mph / 451 km/h (tuned)
Availability: Autoshow (2,800,000 CR)
Fairly priced? 🟡 Fair price. A well-balanced hypercar – but there are better deals.

"One: 1" refers to its one-to-one power-to-weight ratio – 1 metric horsepower per 1 kilogram of weight. While it's all cool and smart, a car that only has a fancy name to impress with might remain a geek-favorite, while remaining completely unknown to wider audience. But that's not the case with this Koenigsegg.

A perfect Speed stat, great Handling, strong Acceleration and Launch – all these things make 277 mph possible out of the box. Light curves or sweeping bends – this hypercar handles it all playfully.

That said, One:1 isn't as over-the-top as some other cars up the list. It has fewer tuning possibilities, and that makes its potential a bit limited – hence, the small difference between a stock and tuned versions' speed records: just 3 miles per hour. But overall, it's one of the best cars in the game in most regards and if you have a chance to get it – get it.

3. Koenigsegg Agera RS 🇸🇪

Top Speed: 260mph / 418 km/h (stock), 282mph / 453 km/h (tuned)
Availability: Autoshow (2,000,000 CR)
Fairly priced? 🟢 Bargain. Faster than One: 1, while being just as well-balanced – and costs 800K less!

The Agera RS is a fan favorite for good reason – it's the sweet spot between raw power and drivability. It's one of the four elite cars in Forza Horizon 5 with a Speed sat of 10, and it doesn't compromise elsewhere either: Handling and Acceleration are both close to maxed out. In other words, it performs on par with the One: 1, while costing noticeably less.

When it comes to top speed, the stock Agera RS might fall just short of the One: 1 or even the Chiron. But unlike those two, the Agera has better tuning potential, allowing it to reach up to 282mph with the right setup. That still doesn't quite put it in the same league as the final two cars on our list – they're on another level – but it's more than enough to blow past most of the competition.

All things considered, this is a hypercar that does it all – and at a relatively friendly price for its class.

2. Hennessey Venom F5 🇺🇸

Top Speed: 303mph / 488 km/h (stock), 307mph / 494 km/h (tuned)
Availability: Hot Wheels DLC (included in the Premium Edition).
Fairly priced? ❓ It depends. If you're fine with spending extra real money on a DLC, check out the current price for your region to get a better idea.

Let's start with a simple fact: the stock version of this car is the fastest in the game and the only one that can blast past 300mph without a single upgrade. So even though its Speed stat is "just" 9.9 (for reasons unknown), leaving it off this list would've been a crime. Its Handling is also surprisingly good, though just shy of 9.0, which keeps it from joining the Koenigsegg elite.

With upgrades, the Venom F5 can reach up to 307 mph – not a huge jump, but still ahead of what any other car (but one) in FH5 can pull off. That said, it doesn't reach those speeds quickly, as its Acceleration and Launch are underwhelming compared to other hypercars on this list. Sadly, that means that they'll leave the Venom in the dust off the line. But give it enoug road, and it will catch up – if the track is long enough, that is. So just bear that in mind: this car is wonderful, but it's not a drag race king.

One more thing worth noting: this is the only car in our top 5 that isn't available from the Autoshow. The Venom F5 is tied to the Hot Wheels DLC, which you can purchase separately or as part of the FH5 Premium Edition. Depending on your regional pricing, it might actually be a bargain – you'll skip the grind for millions of credits and unlock this monster instantly.

1. Koenigsegg Jesko 🇸🇪

Top Speed: 283mph / 455 km/h (stock), 312mph / 502 km/h (tuned)
Availability: Autoshow (2,800,000 CR).
Fairly priced? 🟡 Fair price. It makes sense that the fastest car in the game costs that much, doesn't it?

If it weren't for the Hennessey Venom F5, the Jesko would hold the title of the fastest stock car in the game, with its insane top speed of 283 mph. And yes – that would mean that even the fastest FH5 car doesn't break 300 out of the box. But where the Jesko really shines is in its tuning potential. It offers one of the most impressive speed gains in Forza: with the right setup, it can push all the way to 312 mph. That's the latest record – but who knows, maybe some genius will figure out how to squeeze even more out of it.

The Jesko keeps in line with its Swedish brothers and comes as a complete package. It hits crazy speeds, handles smoothly, and has a fantastic launch. The only area where it falls slightly short – though not by much – is Acceleration. That means after its explosive start, there's a brief moment where other hypercars might edge ahead... but only until the Jesko hits 280s.

Hence, the bottom line: test it out and learn how it behaves over different distances. Get it right, and you've got the ultimate hypercar in Forza Horizon 5.
